Design overview
The primary goal of the project was to modernize several key areas of the home while maintaining its character and improving day-to-day functionality. The homeowners wanted to transform an outdated bathroom with new finishes and fixtures while also adding a fully functional bathroom to the basement. Increasing natural light in the sunroom was another priority, which led to the installation of the new bi-fold window system. Additional upgrades included replacing several aging windows to improve insulation and overall aesthetics, as well as refreshing the entire third floor with newly refinished hardwood floors and updated paint throughout.

“The homeowners wanted to bring in more natural light, modernize key finishes, and improve everyday functionality. Through our integrated design-build approach, we renovated the sunroom, bathrooms, basement, and third floor - transforming them into bright, comfortable, and thoughtfully finished spaces.”
Third-floor bathroom renovation
The third-floor bathroom blends classic design with modern updates. The space features a new vanity with a quartz countertop, custom wall sconces for layered lighting, checkerboard tile flooring, and refreshed wall tile details. The result is a bathroom that maintains the home’s charm while improving both functionality and style.
The third floor was refreshed with fully refinished hardwood floors, and a complete interior repaint, restoring warmth and continuity to the upper level. Together, these upgrades created a brighter, more functional home while enhancing both design and long-term value.
Basement renovation: new bathroom
The bathrooms were fully renovated with new fixtures, vanities, tilework, lighting, and updated plumbing and electrical. Waterproofing was installed in all high humidity areas to ensure long-term durability.
To expand the home’s usability, the basement was upgraded with a fully functional bathroom designed to feel both bold and refined. The space features deep teal wall tile, marble-look shower tile, and Moroccan-inspired patterned flooring, creating a modern design that elevates the basement beyond a typical utility space.
Sunroom renovation: bi-fold window system
The original sunroom featured aging louvered windows that limited airflow and insulation. The sunroom was transformed with the installation of a modern bi-fold window system, replacing aging windows and significantly increasing natural light while creating a stronger indoor-outdoor connection. Additional window replacements throughout the home improved insulation, comfort, and overall aesthetics.
